Obituary for Deap Narine "Rick" Latchman

On May 3rd 2021 heaven received another Angel, when our beloved Rick was called home.
Rick Deap Narine Latchman was born on March 16, 1946 in Huston, Guyana to Indrasan and Rowtie Latchman.
Rick was the 5th of 9 children and was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Sase (Suruj), Robin
(Stephanie) and sisters Sattie, Baby and Dolly.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Barb, devoted daughters Tricia (Nawaz), Sonya (Don) and
Andrea (Mayer) and cherished grandson Deen. He is also survived by his dear sister Jessie (Chris (d) and
younger brothers, Jai (Kamala) and Philip (Yvonne) and his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great
nephews along with his sister-in-law Savi (Frank) and brothers-in-law, Sammy (Jean) and Carl.
Rick was a caring and generous soul who was always willing to help his family and friends.
Rick emigrated to Canada in 1970 and started to work in the Food and Drug Industry. He married his wife
Barb in 1971, and they were blessed with three daughters, Tricia, Sonya, and Andrea.
Rick worked at Nucro Technic from 1971 to 1996, where he worked his way up from a lab technician to the
Vice-President. In 1996, Rick started his own consulting company, and worked for many Pharmaceutical
Companies. He travelled to different countries, including visiting China many times, and all over the
United States, doing Audits and Quality Control.
Rick retired in 2015 and spent his time enjoying his grandson Deen, gardening, listening to music, and
reading all the books he bought, but never got a chance to read before retirement.
Rick will be missed by his family, sister, brothers, his many nieces and nephews, and friends and
collogues.
Rest in Peace Ricky, until we meet again.
