Obituary for Jerome D'Oliveira
Jerome "Jerry" Maurice D’Oliveira died peacefully at home on December 22 in Ajax, Ontario at the age of 90.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Jenny McGow (George), Sherry Miljvoic (Mike), Pat Reed (Paul), his grandchildren Dale Edmunds, Dawn Edmunds, Jeremy Edmunds, Jessica McGow, Michelle Reed, Jaysen Reed and several great and great-great-grandchildren, his sister, Theresa D’Oliveira and his dear friend, Ruth Daley. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juliet.
Jerry was born on August 25, 1929 in Kitty Georgetown, Guyana and moved to Canada in 1960. After relocating to Montreal, Jerry began working in the airline industry and worked his way up to supervisor at Canadair.
A visitation is scheduled from 12-2pm on Saturday, January 4 at Ajax Crematorium & Visitation Centre at 384 Finley Avenue in Ajax. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jerry's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Toronto Humane Society.
