Obituary
Orian Archibald passed away in her home on August 25th , 2022, at the
age of 67 surrounded by her loved ones.
Predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 40 years,
Anthony Archibald. Proud mother of Makaila Hubble (Colin) and
Yvette Brown. Dear grandmother to Wilhelm Hubble. She is lovingly
remembered by her siblings: Neville McCollin, Allison Drakes
(Bradley), Arindelle Pilgrim (Anthony), Malene Farrell (Lewin), Gilpin
McCollin (Ithaca) and Angela James (Garnett), as well as her aunt
Gladwyn Best. Orian was adored by her many cousins, nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Orian was born in Barbados and immigrated to Canada at the age of 10.
She spent the remainder of her childhood in London, Ontario until she
left to attend Centennial College and pursued a diploma in Business
Administration. It was there that she met her future husband, Anthony
Archibald. After getting married, they moved to Bermuda and lived
there for many years before returning to Canada. They settled in Ajax
Ontario in 1988 and had their daughter Makaila a few years later.
Orian held several different positions in both the private and public
sectors. Her final position was with the provincial government where she
worked as an administrative assistant for many decades.
Orian had a passion for travelling and spent many summers going on
cruises with her sisters to various destinations around the world. She was
a beautiful woman known for having a great sense of humour and a
warm demeanor. She loved her dogs Yoshi and Kaja. Orian will be
dearly missed by her friends and family.
Service Summary
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9th at 11 a.m. at St. Francis
De Sales Church in Ajax for our dear wife, mother, sibling, and friend of many. A
reception will be held afterwards.
