Dr. Pravirhendra Kumar "PK" Gupta died peacefully in the comfort of his own home after a long battle with cancer on June 25, 2020 in Ajax, ON at the age of 64.

PK is survived by his wife, Rashmi, his children Sweta and Prateek, his brothers, Shailendra and Munindra and his sisters, Shashi, Madhu, Sheel, Sneh, and Ruchi of India.

PK was born on August 20, 1955 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh to late Smt. Annapurna Devi, and late Shri Krishna Kumar Gupta. He graduated from SN Medical College in 1980 with a MBBS degree in medical science . After moving to Rishikesh, PK began working for IDPL as a staff physician, where he saved many lives and made a significant impact in the community, where he is still remembered to this day. He married Rashmi, his long-distance sweetheart in 1985, then moved to Canada shortly thereafter. PK was a loving father to Sweta born in 1986 and Prateek born in 1991. Sweta was married to Ashwin Mohan in 2019.

Some of PK's hobbies were to cook and eat, try out new restaurants, travel around the world, socialize with family and friends. He also had an avid interest in cars and watching sports, especially hockey. His favourite sports team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. "Go Leafs Go!"
