Obituary for Ramnaraine Baboo
RAMNARAINE BABOO (81) passed away on Saturday October 15, 2022, in Scarborough, Ontario.
He was born on July 29, 1941, in Uitvlugt, Guyana to mother Sukhrania and father Baboo. He attended Uitvlugt Scots School. Ramnaraine married Subhadra on April 14, 1963, in Guyana and worked as a Field Clerk Manager before immigrating to Canada in 1988. He settled in Scarborough, where he worked as an assembly line worker until his retirement in 2008.
Ramnaraine is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Basil, and sisters Dhamattie and Rampatt.
He is survived by his sisters Sumattie, Dropattie, and Krishna, and brother Bisaul. He also leaves behind his wife, Subhadra (Leila) and their six children: Nivedita (Eric), Rabindra (Jenny), Druvend (Omma), Anil (Seeta), Sandra (Michael), and Arvind (Nadia). He leaves 16 grandchildren: Christian, Jennifer, Brandon, Cory, Kaitlyn, Cera, Ashley, Chelsea, Shane, Kara, Cassidy, Joshua, Michelle, Kevin, Nathan, and Ariya, and 4 great-grandchildren: Kian, Cordelia, Emmett, and Reyna.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022, from 8:00AM – 10:00AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00AM. Both will be held at the Ajax Crematorium and Visitation Centre.
