Obituary for Shirley Martin
SHIRLEY MARTIN
After many health issues, Shirley passed away with her daughter by her side on August 19, 2022. She was a devoted wife to James Norton Martin for over 56 years. Loving mom to Susan (Greg) and Denise (Ron) and adoring grandmother to Michael (Holly), Jessica (Danica), and Kevin (Natalie). Daughter of Herbert and Vera MacBride. Best friend and sister to Patricia (Albert), and brother Bruce (Jane). Aunt to many nieces and nephews and second mom/ aunt to Christine and Karen. She will also be known for her love of dancing in her younger years, her love of family, passion for movies and tv series and kind heart. She will join her beloved husband, sister and brother in heaven along with her parents and several other family members. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched and her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. Rest peacefully dear Shirley, you are now the wind beneath our wings. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in her name to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. A special thank you to staff of The Winfield LTC
