Obituary for Shirlian Sarojinie Barran
Shirlian Barran passed away peacefully December 18, 2020. She was born February 27th, 1949 at Johanna Cecilia, Essequibo Coast, Guyana to Paul and Estelle Raghubir. Lived most of her life in Guyana and then to Canada on July 1st 1994.
Shirlian was a warm, compassionate and vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others, no matter what.
Her favorite quote was “Accept the things you cannot change and change the things you can”
Shirlian is survived by her husband, Kennard, her children, Ramona, Chris, Maureen and Graeme.
Sister to Vivienne and Elizabeth, Raymond and Roy
Mother in Law to Ganesh, Kundan, Shabaaz and Arifa
Grandmother to Gavin, Bhavesha, Matthew Daniel, Ronan, Brianne and Aunt to many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
