Soorsatee Mahabir, age 75 died peacefully with her loved ones close by on April 7th 2022 at Lakeridge
Health Ajax Hospital.

Soorsatee Mahabir, affectionately known as Shirley was born on October 11th 1946 in Enterprise,
Guyana. Shirley was part of a large family as she had 11 siblings. Shirley married her loving husband,
Lajpat Mahabir, on May 11th 1962. Together, they had one daughter and three sons. Shirley and Lajpat
immigrated to Canada in 1982 with the hope that they could create a better life for their children. In total she was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, 3 loving sons, 8 beautiful grandchildren and 2
precious great grandchildren.

Shirley was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. She will be
sorely missed and will be remembered for her generous heart, caring nature and sacrifice.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering at the Ajax Crematorium &
Visitation Centre. Suite A&B. 384 Finley Ave, Ajax ON L1S 2E3 on Monday April 11 th 2022 at 11AM.
